Gameplay Security Tips for Newbies

This post is about basic dos and don'ts that you have to remember if you are just starting out to play online multi-player games. Simple tips like, what can you do to protect yourself against in-game fraud protect your account. Don't miss this very important post.

The most important thing to remember is that for some of these games you pay a monthly fee and that it is your hard earned money, you must protect your account all the ways possible. You must not give out any private info about yourself or your account even if you know this character for some time.

There are players who sit there and wait for newbies, then involve them into their mind games and then one day you can't login or when you login, you notice that all of your items are gone. The only thing you can do about it is complain to the admins, shout the name of the player that stole everything from you across the servers. None of that will help you regain what you lost, the end point is that it is your own fault.

Don't share passwords with your friends, your friends might not play as careful as you do and in the end you may regret sharing your account, in some games that is even prohibited and you may lose your account over something stupid that you didn't do.

Don't ever try to buy items or something in-game with real money, no game supports these type of activities but not all can control fraud completely, it is up to you to be careful and don't fall for these traps.

Don't start cheating or buying cheat systems. If you get caught, which you will, you will be banned for life. There are no cheats for online games, the cheats that are out there usually use scripts and codes that abuse the servers and these activities are very visible to admins, it's just a matter of time before they ban you.
