Story/Background
Korean online racing game in anime style! If you have ever watched Initial D, then you will surely like this game. There is no other MMORPG like this one, it is quite easy to get into and the addiction level is high.
Since this game has a plot line, a story like a anime series would have. It is quite deep and brings across many meaningful messages. You basically are employed as a professional driver to help catch these bad cars called HUVS. In the near future, the world's industrial infrastructure has beenseverely hampered by global shortages of oil.With the slowing pace of business and progress, all eyes are on a remote island, where an amazing new natural resource has been discovered: Mittron.
Characters/Game modes
The game offers many game modes to choose from like, Patrol, Battle Zone, Quest. They are pretty straight forward and easy to understand. The characters of the game have avatars, so you can be what ever you like. The cars models are very good for a game like this, most though have fishy names but you can recognize them easily. You can customize your car to your likings to look more unique too.
Maps/Levels
Drift City is based on an island, all the action takes place there. The whole island looks really great and a little futuristic, don't forget everything is in anime cartoon style so you shouldn't expect a lot.
Items/Weapons/Gameplay
The gameplay is what makes this game stand out from the rest. Although it is called Drift City, there aren't any drifts in the game, they are power-slides. The game is RPG and you can raise your level as high as 90, that takes a lot of time of course. Different game modes that you play and missions that you complete will earn you items and money that later on you can use in part shops. The game controls are easy to pick-up and in no time you will find yourself chasing HUVS with other players.
Sound/Music
The game's sound effects and music is a bit off at times, it also has an anime feel to it, with really unique tracks. In the end if you don't like them you can place your on music in a specified folder and access them from in-game.
Online Community/Help/Updates
The community of this game is getting bigger and bigger. The players are very friendly, but since Drift City has cars from a famous anime, there are a lot of youngsters who have these cars and names. If you are interested in car games and will play this game for a while, you will find someone in your age group or similar interests.
